Samantha Collins, CPM, LM
My philosophy towards birth and reproductive health care is rooted in autonomy and holistic well-being. My path to becoming a CPM started when my own autonomy and reproductive rights were challenged within the medical system. From this experience, I was determined to find a provider who would listen to me, trust my ability to make decisions and provide resources to support me in achieving my health goals. It wasn't until I met a midwife, that I found just that. From that moment, I knew that I wanted to help advocate for this kind of compassionate health care.
Since then, I have worked as a doula, birth assistant, and now as a midwife. I have been attending births since 2016, and graduated from a MEAC accredited school, Birthwise, in 2021, and have been practicing as a licensed midwife since. I am currently licensed in the state of Minnesota.
In addition to midwifery, I have learned from functional medicine providers, naturopathic doctors, chiropractors, and herbalists. This has provided me with a decade of experience in guiding others on holistic lifestyles, reduction of environmental exposures, and botanical medicine. I am passionate about creating opportunities for others to access this kind of knowledge. In a visit with me, I hope to bring compassionate conversations, space for you and me to develop a trusting relationship, evidence-based care, and some laughter.
When I am not a midwife, I can be found outside with my son, foraging wild plants, dancing in the kitchen, and laughing with family.
