Samantha Collins, CPM, LM
My philosophy towards birth and reproductive health care is rooted in autonomy and holistic well-being. My path to becoming a midwife started when my own autonomy and reproductive rights were challenged within the medical system. From this experience, I was determined to find a provider who would listen to me, trust my ability to make decisions, and provide resources to support me in achieving my health goals. It wasn't until I met a midwife that I found just that. From that moment, I knew I wanted to help advocate for this kind of compassionate health care.
Since then, I have been devoted to birth work. I started as a doula, birth assistant, and now, a midwife. I graduated from Birthwise Midwifery School in 2021, and am currently in my 5th year of practice. I have had the ultimate honor of attending hundreds of births, both in-home and at a free-standing birth center.
In addition to midwifery, I have learned from functional medicine providers, naturopathic doctors, chiropractors, and herbalists. This has provided me with a decade of experience in guiding others on holistic lifestyles, reduction of environmental exposures, and botanical medicine. I am passionate about creating opportunities for others to access this kind of knowledge.
In a visit with me, I hope to bring compassionate conversations, a space for you and me to develop a trusting relationship, evidence-based care that complements your beliefs, and some laughter.
When I am not a midwife, I can be found with my son at my heels, hiking, gardening, dancing in the kitchen, and laughing with family.
